Terms & Conditions – Alpz (Switzerland)
These Terms and Conditions apply to all bookings, services, and activities provided by Alpz, an outdoor guiding company operating under Swiss law. By booking with us, you agree to the following terms.
1. Booking & Payment

A deposit is required to confirm your booking and reserve the selected date and activity.

The balance must be paid on or before the day of the activity, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Bookings become binding upon written confirmation by Alpz (email or message).

The person making the booking accepts these terms on behalf of all participants.
2. Cancellation & Refunds
Please refer to our Refund & Cancellation Policy for full details. Key terms include:

Cancellations made 48 hours or more in advance may be rescheduled.

If you choose to cancel, your deposit is non-refundable.

If you provide less than 48 hours' notice, or fail to show up, your deposit is forfeited.

If Alpz cancels due to weather, safety, illness, or other valid reasons, a reschedule or refund will be offered at our discretion.

No refunds will be issued if you choose not to participate despite safe weather conditions, unless you provide a medical certificate.
3. Guide Authority & Safety

All participants must follow the guide’s instructions at all times.

The guide has full authority over the route, safety decisions, and the right to cancel, postpone, shorten, or modify the activity for any safety or operational reason.

The guide may exclude individuals from the activity if their behavior or condition endangers themselves or others. No refund will be issued in such cases.
4. Participant Responsibility & Health

You are responsible for ensuring that you are physically and mentally fit to participate.

You must inform Alpz in advance of any relevant medical conditions, allergies, or health concerns.

Alpz reserves the right to refuse participation if you are deemed unfit or pose a safety risk.
5. Insurance

All participants must have adequate personal insurance covering:

Accidents and medical emergencies

Personal liability
-
Cancellation or trip interruption
-

Alpz maintains professional liability insurance, but is not liable for personal injuries, lost items, or damages unless caused by gross negligence or intentional misconduct.
6. Equipment

Equipment provided by Alpz must be treated with care.

You may be charged for damage or loss due to improper use or negligence.
7. Risks & Liability Waiver

Outdoor and mountain activities involve inherent risks, including but not limited to:

Rapid weather changes
-
Slippery or uneven terrain
-
Falling rocks
-
Physical exertion and injury
-

By booking with Alpz, you accept these risks and agree to release Alpz from liability for injuries, damages, or losses that occur without gross negligence.
8. Photo & Media Use

We may take photos or videos during activities for marketing purposes.

If you do not wish to be photographed, please inform us before the activity.
9. Data Protection

Your personal data is handled in accordance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (nFADP).

10. Jurisdiction & Applicable Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Switzerland.

The place of jurisdiction for any legal disputes is the court in the canton where Alpz is registered (e.g. Valais, Graubünden, etc.).
-
The applicable law is the Swiss Code of Obligations (CO).
