At Alpz, we are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal data responsibly and in accordance with Swiss data protection laws.

1. What Personal Data We Collect

When you book an activity or contact us, we may collect:

  • Your full name, email address, phone number

  • Emergency contact information

  • Relevant health information (e.g. allergies, medical conditions)

  • Payment-related details (via third-party processors – we do not store your card information)

2. Why We Collect Your Data

We process your personal data for the following reasons:

  • To confirm and manage your booking

  • To ensure your safety during guided activities

  • To communicate with you before and after the activity

  • To meet legal, insurance, or regulatory obligations

We process only the data necessary for these purposes, in line with the principles of proportionality and transparencyunder the nFADP.

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell or trade your data. We may share your data only with:

  • Our guides or staff (on a need-to-know basis)

  • Insurance providers (if necessary)

  • Payment processors (e.g. Stripe, PayPal)

  • Authorities if legally required

All partners and service providers we work with are contractually obligated to comply with applicable data protection standards.

4. Storage and Retention

We store your data securely and only for as long as necessary for the above purposes, or as required by Swiss law (e.g. up to 10 years for accounting records).

5. Your Rights

Under the nFADP, you have the right to:

  • Request access to your personal data

  • Request correction or deletion of incorrect or unnecessary data

  • Object to data processing under certain conditions

6. Photo & Media Consent

We may occasionally take photos or videos during activities for promotional purposes. If you do not wish to appear in any media, please notify your guide or email us in advance.

7. Cross-Border Data Transfers

If we ever process or store data outside Switzerland (e.g. EU-based services), we ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place, in line with the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) guidance and EU adequacy decisions.

8. EU Clients – GDPR Note

If you are a resident of the EU or EEA, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) may apply to your data. We are committed to handling your personal data lawfully, fairly, and transparently in line with GDPR requirements.
